I broke them down into five categories: intent, technical, business, integrated usage, and off-twitter. Some could probably fit in more than one category, such as it were.

A good friend of mine, Chris Brogan shared these with me. So read through them and leave me your thoughts and comments below as I have found these very good tips when using my twitter account.

Intent (Human Artist)

Don’t read EVERY tweet. It’s perfectly okay. You have permission.

Follow anyone who follows you (and unfollow spammers/jerks).

Promote other people 12x to every 1 self-promotional tweet.

Build lists to watch people who matter to you more closely.

Retweet the good stuff from others. Sharing is caring.

A lot of @replies how buy viagra shows a lot of humanity/engagement.

Robot tweets are less sexy than human tweets.

Promote the new/less followed more than the “names.”

Set an egg timer. Twitter is addictive.

Everyone does it their own way. You’re doing it wrong, too- to someone

Technical

A non-standard background and face avatar means we believe you may be human.

Leave 20 characters or more space in each tweet to improve retweeting.

Use Seesmic or Tweetdeck or Hootsuite so you can see more.

Linking one update to several communities is technically possible. It’s just not respectful of each community’s uniqueness.

Tools like http://bit.ly let you see stats. Use them.

Make hashtags small and simple. We need room to tweet.

If software allows you to “post updates to Twitter” as well as to the app, don’t do that. We rarely want to see them.

If you develop software that pushes updates to Twitter, be VERY explicit how that works.

Every time you use OAUTH to give apps permission to use your account, you open a potential security hole. Check your permissions monthly.

The best mobile app is the one that you feel comfortable using. We don’t know better.

Business

Spamming us repeatedly is okay. We just unfollow you.

Spend more time in search than in chatting us up about your stuff.

Finding people who need what you’re selling trumps advertising to us.

Retweeting someone’s nice words about you is lame and doesn’t buy you more attention. Let it stand.

If your link is an affiliate link or a client, say so (in parentheses).

Your customers might not be on Twitter. Use rapleaf to find them.

Invite your customers to Twitter, then make it worth it for them.

Use Twitter as a personalized communication tool, not another blast.

Having different accounts for everything seems like the right move, until you realize it’s hard to grow multiple followings.

Just make money and then the boss won’t ask about ROI any more.

Integrated Usage

Twitter makes every event better. Post the hashtag everywhere. Make every speaker sign/label/name include a Twitter ID.

Apps like TweetChat.com make following event chats really easy. Put in a hashtag and go.

Tweeting the content of events is nice, but so is occasionally making a real live connection with the speaker.

It’s okay to tweet your blog posts, but try asking a question that leads readers into the post.

Can you invite Twitter followers to your other social platforms, like LinkedIn or Facebook? Sure you can.

I’m not into mixing my location apps with my tweets, but if you do, do it FROM the location app into Twitter, not the other way around.

Getting others to tweet your posts or news or registrations is useful, but sometimes comes off as a barrage or spam. Be prepared for that perception.

Tweets that point us to photos and/or video and/or music, etc, are always a great way to enhance the experience.

Please remove Twitter from LinkedIn. Use the #in tag instead and be selective.

Spammy or no, events that tweet their attendance registration seem to drive attendance.

Off-Twitter

Are your tweets really what you want to show in your sidebar? Doesn’t that direct people away from your site?

Think of Twitter as a guidance system to what you think is interesting. A lot of that is likely off-Twitter.

Apps like VisibleTweets.com are neat, but can be very distracting at events.

If you use tweets on a screen at an event, be warned if you moderate. Angry crowds can happen.

Don’t forget to invite people from off-Twitter to follow you on Twitter. Include your actual Twitter ID (I see lots of “follow me on Twitter” with no details).

Asking questions on Twitter makes for very interesting commentary and opinions for blog posts.

Tweetups are awesome, especially if you make them about more than just drinking and saying hi. (Though, hey, drinks can be nice.)

Outside of the Twitter app, keep “Tw” names to a minimum. We’re not your “tweeps.”

If your only marketing efforts are on Twitter, start building an email marketing list. Never put your eggs in one basket.

Start thinking in 120 characters (remember? save 20). Every bit of this advice is tweetable.

Your mileage may vary. Some of these might be really helpful and others might not be that useful at all, given your own situations. In fact, feel free to make your own version, add and subtract at will, and comment on where you disagree or agree. It’s all up for discussion. Besides, your doing it wrong LOL

Hope you enjoyed these, I will be speaking with you soon. Great day to you! <!--

Read it below and lets shift your mindset:

Use Empowering Words When You Talk to Yourself
(whether you are speaking out loud or silently)

How do you talk to yourself?

Do you use the words “can’t”, “won’t”, “don’t need to”, “why try”?
Many people do.

Do you find that what you say to yourself turns out to be true?

Why is this?

You see your brain is like a computer that you feed each day. It doesn’t know always know what’s real or not unless you tell it.

Example: If someone you love has hurt you, you may tell yourself that all people who love you will probably hurt you too.

Your brain just files this information for reference, it’s data, little zeroes and ones and no column that asks “true or not true?” Now your brain thinks, based on what you told it, that everyone you’ll ever love will hurt you.

How do you think you will respond the next time you get hurt?

Right!!

Now, what if we instead told our brain:

“Okay this person ripped my heart out – but that’s only one person. I’m lovable and have many loving people in my life who are not out to hurt me. I know that the right people are coming into my life all the time. If someone hurts me, I will forgive them and bless them on their way.”

Words can be empowering.

I can
I love to
I want to
I will
I must
I am

We can reach a new level of living, if we feed ourselves empowering words and practice saying them until they become a habit.

<span style="font-size: hoodia best buys medium;”>I know first hand that it takes time.

And I also know that it’s worth it.

Try it for a week.

Catch yourself saying, “I can’t”, when you don’t really mean it and instead try, “I can”, and see how you think and feel about yourself.

Remember, the words you use to empower yourself will have a lasting effect, only if you practice them and they become a habit (an acquired behavior pattern regularly followed until it has become almost involuntary).

They say it takes at least 28 days to develop a habit. After a week, you will see that it becomes easier. It’s a mindset and you can control your thoughts. Be proactive and not reactive – give yourself some good words.

Dream big and empower yourself! Believe you can and you will.
For many years, marketers stalked their target customers through various means and by trying to get their message across to spread awareness about their wares.

Traditional Means of Communication

Traditionally, marketing communications were conducted via print, broadcast and such traditional media through disruptive advertising, where advertisements appear in between the content of interest for the customer.

Traditional media does give a large reach to a marketer with its programming of mass appeal. However, the wastage is equally high, since a large portion of the audience would belong to a different segment than the one that is to be targeted by the marketer.

Enter Social Media and the Internet

The revolution stirred by the internet as a medium took place because of the fact that it is highly personalized and provides more content on-demand than any other available medium. Social sites proliferated far and wide in their usage for a few simple reasons:

The power to create and distribute content is equally available to every hoodia 750 mg user, irrespective of him/her being a customer or a marketer. In the earlier forms of media, that power rested with the editorial staff of the channel or the advertiser, but hardly ever with the user.
The medium is completely personalized, and a user can create or join groups and further create content based on what he/she likes.
Opinions are free and fair. This is one reason why social media is of utmost concern to marketers, since buying decisions are no more influenced as much by advertisements. The traditional word-of-mouth marketing approach has grown leaps and bounds on social networks.

Facebook – At the Center of Social Media

With 500 million (and growing) unique users worldwide, Facebook is the number one social networking site in terms of activity and subscriptions. What started as a garage initiative by Mark Zuckerberg has now become the biggest phenomenon on the internet.

A user interface that allows for quick communication and the ability to create fan pages and groups at the click of a mouse button are what make Facebook extremely popular. Another important reason for its immense popularity is the wide variety of social applications that have been developed and made available within the Facebook environment.

These applications can allow users and friends to do joint activities like playing games that run endlessly, sharing photos, videos, and web links, and many more.

How does this help a marketer?

Traditionally, media plans were drawn to include television channels, publications, or any other media that can grab maximum eyeballs and effectively reach a selected target audience. The science of segmentation and targeting has become only more accurate in the case of social media.

Facebook provides a wide variety of avenues to communicate with the audience, which opens up an entirely different world of possibilities to have a fruitful dialogue with customers. Some of these methods used popularly by marketers are:

Advertising: The first opportunity, which is the most obvious one, is advertising on Facebook. The difference, however, is the fact that you can create your own advertisement in a matter of minutes and also specify the details of your target group in terms of demographics and types of discussions where you want your advertisement to appear.
Fan Pages: Facebook allows every brand, as well as individual users, to create fan pages for their favorite celebrities and their own homegrown businesses. Large brands have also created their official pages on Facebook that have a huge, immediate fan following around the world. The fan page has immense utility to convey first hand information about the brand and also to collect immediate and frank feedback from your customers.
Branded applications: One of the most effective ways to engage a user toward your brand is by creating an application; this could be a game or a contest, with your branding coming across subtly through it.

What makes Facebook even more exciting is the way it allows you to target your communication sharply just to the customer segment you want to attract. It also provides analytics and page insights that give good feedback and measurement on the activity done.

The options provided by Facebook can be creatively explored and used judiciously for bringing about maximum benefits to any brand.

However, while doing all this, you need to be aware of the fact that customers have an equal say and have the ability to respond immediately to any of your actions with a thumbs up or a thumbs down. Availing the service of a social media consultant to work out a social media strategy may be required so that your efforts will not be in vain.

CAN’T and IMPOSSIBLE must now be officially removed from their dictionary. Get on the edge of your chair
and read this story…

Jessica Cox, now 25, was a Girl Born Without Arms…

But that has not stopped her. The girl from Tucson,Arizona got the Sport Pilot certificate recently and became the first pilot licensed to fly using only her feet. Only her feet!

<span style="color: haldol prices #000000;”>Jessica Cox of Tucson was born without arms, but that has only stopped her from doing anything. She has done
far more than most. The only thing she cannot do is say the word “can’t.” Doctors never learned why she was
born without arms, but she figured out early on that she didn’t want to use prosthetic devices.

With one foot manning the controls and the other guiding the steering column, Jessica attained a certificate which qualifies her to fly a light-sport aircraft to altitudes of 10,000 feet. With no arms!

Not only can she fly an airplane, she also drives a car, with her feet. No arms.

Jessica also has two black belts in Tae Kwon-Do, a college degree in Psychology, and a thriving career as
a motivational speaker.

What doesn’t Jessica Cox have?

Arms. That’s all. She’s got everything else, and more.

A bilateral congenital limb deficiency doesn’t stop Ms.Cox from achieving and surpassing her goals. From birth
on, her feet became her hands. She can drive a car, type 25 words per minute, and fly an airplane using her
feet, without any special adaptations. She is the first woman without arms to earn a license to fly.
Flying, driving, typing, martial arts, psychologist, motivational speaker — you now have no reason to complain about anything. The next time you have any grievance, come back to re-read this article. Double
Your Income? Heck, that’s now really easy.

Think about this my friends, if she can achieve all of this no arms. How much of an advantage do we have.

Hope you enjoyed Fridays peace of inspiration. Have a fantastic weekend, and drop me a comment if you enjoyed this.

I’m going to tell you something I’ve never told anyone. Not only that but I’m going to tell the world in this article right now. Well, all of the world that are currently reading anyway. (That’s a hint to forward this article to those you know, lol). Ahem ok now. Really. Are you prepared for this? I lie, Cheat and Steal. That’s right. Like MTV you heard it here first.

1) I lie in bed at night visualizing and believing that anything I want, I have the ability to create. Whether it’s more time, spiritual freedom, increased finances closer relationships. All of these and more tie into my home business. I always lie in bed thinking about what my reality is currently and seeing in the moment what I want it to be.

2) I cheat as much time as possible from my busy schedule to accomplish those dreams that I lie in bed thinking about. There are many times when life attempts to distract me however I keep clarity and focus on what I want my outcome to be. There for I cheat as much time as possible to invest in my business. (This is even more true in the beginning when someone has a job a family etc and they MUST find the time to create a different outcome.)

3) And finally I steal as many good idea’s as I possibly can. In this industry we have a saying that states rob and duplicate. That’s short for if I like something you said I’m stealing it and using it as my own, lol. I love learning from the wisdom of others even when I know experiential learning is haldol generic king in my opinion. Stealing that wisdom and putting into action for myself is one of the biggest gifts of awareness that I’ve learned in recent years.

Commit these 3 principles to your personal philosophy for your home business as quickly as possible. (Ok so I don’t REALLY lie cheat and steal at least not in the context you thought).

LOL…Can you relate to this. Leave me your comments below.
Positive thinking is proven to enhance performance in productivity and quality. We tend to think more creatively and perform better when we are feeling positive and well. When you are on top form, your confidence levels will go through the roof and this can only help you in your work and personal life.

If you can sustain yourself with regular challenges and honest self appraisal, the benefits are enormous. Fear induces us to put the brakes on; to stop thinking in a productive way. Fear of poverty, of losing face, of being proved wrong hold us back from taking part in active decision making. As our judgement becomes clouded with negative thinking, we become timid in the face of adversity.

Opportunity becomes redefined as an impossible challenge and we end up standing still whilst the rest of the world passes us by. Negative emotions are emotions such as anger, fear, anxiety, jealousy regret, sadness. These emotions are capable of not only having a powerful, unwanted effect on you physically, but also of having a significant impact the way you conduct your life. Negative emotions can ingrain habits of limiting decision making. One of the benefits of personal development is that it can encourage all the healthy parts of you to grow and the less savory parts to whither on the vine.

It can improve our general well being and make us more harmonious inside. All of our emotional processes, attitudes, values, our beliefs and motivations are interconnected. great vitamin prices If life was easy then we would have nothing to be motivated for. That is why by bringing in other challenges and goals – be it learning another language or taking up a new creative hobby – you can develop a highly disciplined mind that will assist you in many other areas of life.

Maintaining confidence and motivation is the secret to long term success. However, long term success is achieved from short term goals! What this means is through setting smaller goals and then rewarding yourself for achieving them on a regular basis. Thinking well is being well. There are only a minority of people who achieve success without having any belief in them self or in what they are doing.

Be proud of the positive steps you have decided to take in asserting control over your life Think well of yourself. Change negative self-talk to positive self-encouragement. Give yourself the same consideration you would give a cherished friend. Learn to become your own cheer leader instead of your own worst critic. Once you have banished these negative thoughts, you should turn your attention towards coming up with an action plan. This plan will form the bedrock of your positive state of mind.

You can take this even further by putting reward days into the planner to act as an extra bit of motivation. By breaking your routine down into a series of short term goals you will have more fun and experience a greater sense of accomplishment along the way. Of course this will only work if you are honest and open with yourself. Your journal should never lie otherwise you are only telling lies to yourself and defeating the object of your goal.

Your plan should be customized according to your own personal set of requirements and informed judgment. The effects of this are that you will be proving to yourself that you can take control of your own destiny. With a clear structure in place, you will never lose focus of the task in hand. This will help to avoid the feelings of helplessness and submissiveness that can happen to people who feel like they are not in control of a situation.

Hope you enjoyed today’s post. Please Leave your comments below.

Have a fantastic day folks! <!--
I wish I could remember where I first heard about this, but it does seem to be working.

Here’s how.

Get the Twitter application installed in your Facebook profile here: Twitter App For Facebook.

You’ll notice a link that says: Want Twitter to update your Facebook status? Click here!

That’s it.

There may be some time lag, but it seems to be working fine for me. My understanding is that those who really pump the messages out in Twitter may have some of them get lost. I seem to recall reading somewhere that Facebook only checks your Twitter every thirty minutes (or so). I’m not twittering that much to have this issue, so I’m quite happy with this new additional functionality.

I hope this helps in saving you a bit of time with your social networking updates. Leave me a comment below, would love to hear if this really benefits you… <!--
If so, then with out a doubt you need yourself the most powerful marketing tool to date, and its called the…

Autoresponder!

So if you have been in business for a while and you have built yourself a list of customers you will need to keep in touch with them. Now imagine how hard it will be staying in contact with 100 customers, quite a lot of work involved right? Ok, so now imagine having a list of 3000 customers, now thats going to be an utter nightmare yea? Well if have yourself a well set up autoresponder glyset generic system like Getresponse, you will save untold amounts of time and be able to follow up and convert your customers into buyers all automated!

I think the statistic is about 70% of the people you bring to your site will not purchase immediately, so what you need to is follow up on these leads with a series of e-mails, maybe give them a free gift, an e-book, video or even just some tips and advice. These free gifts will certainly help you build your rapport with your lead and will certainly help convert them into a new customer.

Your autoresponder will help build the relationship and trust you need to start converting these leads. People like to feel important and an e-mail from you time to time will definitely help you achieve this. I usually set my campaigns to email out every 3 days which is good time frame to insure your not smothering your customer nor letting them forget about you.

*Regular updates will keep your offer at the forefront of the customers mind.

*Send e-mails to market special events or new offers to your entire list with a click of a button.

*Connect your blog posts to your email list so they can stay updated with your latest news/tips/events or whatever it may be you offer

* Insure you Follow up with a thank-you message when your customer decides to buy.

Once a lead becomes a customer your autoresponder can keep you in touch with them to build long term trust so that they may come back and buy from you in the future. The most effective autoresponder I have found is Getresponse and that is what I currently use for my online business.

It is super easy to set up and it has step by step video tutorials walking you through the process.

I will be back with more tips and recommendations a bit later my friends.

Have yourself a great day!
